Today is the second day of the Workshop "Rethinking Humanities and Social Sciences Research in a Time of Uncertainty: The Impact of Russia's War Against Ukraine - Russia's War in Ukraine as a Starting Point for Rethinking Humanities and Social Sciences", which is being conducted under the scientific leadership of Prof. Dr. Margarita Balmaceda (Harvard University, USA) and Prof. Dr. Andreas Bedenbender (University Wuppertal, Germany) (https://www.wiko-greifswald.de/programm/allgemeines/veranstaltungskalender/veranstaltung/n/rethinking-humanities-and-social-sciences-research-at-a-time-of -uncertainty-the-impact-of-russias-war-against-ukraine-russlands-krieg-in-der-ukraine-als-ausgangspunkt-fuer-ein-umdenken-in-den-geistes-und-sozialwissenschaften-153463/).

We listened to the lecture "Kein Helfer, sondern selbst ein Opfer. Gedanken zu Simon aus Kyrene (Mk 15:21) in der Zeit der russischen Invasion in der Ukraine", after which there was a discussion and presentation of a series of books by Prof. Dr. Andreas Bedenbender. The event was held in English, but the lecture itself was presented in German. For English-speaking students Prof. Dr. Andreas Bedenbender has kindly prepared a translation of the lecture also in English.
